The terrain in this area is not too challenging and we saw several families walking on the trails. Hall Ranch is a beautiful place in an easy-access location for people of varying activities and fitness levels.

This had some stunning views which are worth the challenging hike to see, particularly of Mt. Meeker, Longs Peak, Pagoda Mountain, Chief’s Head Mountain, and Tanima Peak.
Lost Lake is a relatively easy hike of 4.4 miles with roughly 800 feet elevation gain. The trek features beautiful views of the Indian Peaks.
I would definitely recommend this snowshoe trek to anyone who wants to go a bit further than Brainard Lake. You can see one more gorgeous alpine lake and get even more great exercise.
The Wonderland Lake Park is a great place to go for a short hike, and is conveniently located in North Boulder with ample parking. It’s even more of a workout if you do it in the snow!
